2021 Week 11

  • In the forming stages of a new team at work, which is quite great. Made a little tricky as it’s a proper cross-functional effort, and there’s lots of new-to-the-company people involved, but the project is really quite exciting. Unfortunately I really can’t say more, so I’ll be going quiet about it for the foreseeable.
  • I am, however, adjusting to my new hours – a full-day of meetings is no longer wiping me out completely. I had the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine last week and the day after was really very rough, so that may not have helped either, but I was really ready for last weekend. This one definitely feels like I should have used it more wisely. Need to make sure I do next week.
  • Having finally picked up an acoustic guitar a few weeks ago, I’m enjoying taking little moments during the evening to play & learn. I forgot how much I enjoyed playing music and how relaxing it could be. Thankfully my fingers have retained a little muscle memory – made especially obvious when I try to stray away from that muscle memory! Good to have something non-computer related to do though.
  • Overall another quiet week. Much like every week in a national lockdown. I need to make sure I’m getting out of the house a little more though. The weather has improved this week, and it’s getting lighter after work, so time to get out walking.
