Weighted Down Update: December 2025
As mentioned in my previous personal health updates I’ve recently been enjoying sustained weight loss success for the first time in my life thanks to Mounjaro. To support me in this process I’ve kept a fairly involved spreadsheet, as I’ve found it useful to weigh myself every day to really understand what’s going on. Now, the advice and research shows this is not a great idea, and that once a week is smarter, however I know to keep me on track I need that piece of daily focus.
What’s really helped past that is the projections into the future. This is the first time in my life I’ve been making real and deliberate positive progress (I’m actually losing!) and it’s helpful to peek into the future at where I could be if I keep it up. However, now I’m nearing 6 months in the spreadsheet is starting to become a little unwieldy, and the myriad of future projections spread over various sheets aren’t particularly accurate or consistent.
It occured to me that my near-dormant food diary app weighted down would probably benefit from having weight tracking included, so a bit of tweaking later and I’m pretty happy with where it’s at. I need to play around with it a bit more, but I’m actually considering this might be something I want to release to more people.
Right now it does the following;
- basic food diary (from a personal db built up automatically as you use it)
- weight tracking
- withings integration
- daily notes
- history view
- progress (with goals)
- projections (towards goals)
If you think this might be useful, please get in touch and I can give you early-access in exchange for helping me test it. Here’s some screenshots for funsies.
