Belfry now shows what your agents are doing

Quick update on Belfry, my little tmux app for Mac and iOS. The big one: it now tells you what all your coding agents are up to, right in the sidebar.

Belfry's sidebar with agents grouped under Needs You, Just Finished and Working, each showing its project, branch, current activity and changes, next to a Claude Code session running tests
Agents in Belfry's sidebar

The ones waiting on you float to the top, then the ones that just finished, then the ones still working. You can see which project and branch each is on, what it's doing right now ("Approve Bash: git push"), how much it's changed, and which model it's using. ⌘1–⌘9 jumps straight to one, and ⇧⌘A gives you a big table of the lot.

It's not just Claude Code either. Codex, OpenCode, pi and oh-my-pi all work too. Hit Install Agent Status Hooks… in the host menu and it sorts itself out, on your Mac or over SSH.

A few other bits:

  • The sidebar's had a bit of a makeover on Mac, iPhone and iPad, and there are 20 themes to pick from now.
  • If your connection drops or the laptop goes to sleep, terminals come back on their own instead of sitting there frozen.
  • On the Mac, each session can have its own browser tabs, so your dev server sits right next to the terminal running it.

Still free, still open source. brew install --cask robgough/belfry/belfry, or grab it from belfry.robgough.net. If you've already got it, it'll update itself.
